Quality Control Officer

Ascentech Services Limited is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Officer to monitor product quality, food safety, hygiene, and GMP compliance throughout the production process. The successful candidate will conduct inspections and testing, identify non-conformities, maintain accurate quality records, and ensure that only products meeting approved specifications proceed to release.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production processes, raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products for compliance with quality standards.
• Conduct routine sampling, inspection, and physical, chemical, or microbiological tests as required.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, hygiene, HACCP, and food-safety requirements on the production floor.
• Identify, document, isolate, and escalate non-conforming products and quality deviations.
• Maintain accurate inspection, testing, and quality-control records and prepare routine reports.
• Support investigations, corrective and preventive actions, internal audits, and continuous quality improvement.
• Work closely with Production and QA teams to resolve quality and food-safety issues promptly.

Requirements

• B.Sc./HND in Microbiology, Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
• Previous experience in Quality Control, laboratory work, or production monitoring, preferably within FMCG or food manufacturing.
• Practical knowledge of sampling, testing, GMP, HACCP, hygiene, and quality documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, integrity, and good communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production-floor environment.
