Inventory & Bookkeeping Officer
Mecer Consulting Limited is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory & Bookkeeping Officer to maintain accurate records of inventory and financial transactions. The role involves monitoring stock movements, conducting regular stock counts, and assisting with bookkeeping duties.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and stock movement.
- Monitor stock receipts, dispatches, balances, and adjustments.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical stock with records.
- Assist with daily bookkeeping and financial record-keeping.
- Record sales, purchases, expenses, and other financial transactions.
- Prepare and maintain invoices, receipts, and relevant documentation.
- Identify and report stock discrepancies to management.
- Input and update inventory and financial information using accounting software.
- Assist with the preparation of basic financial and inventory reports.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2-5 years experience
- Bachelor’s, HND, or ND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of bookkeeping and inventory management.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks Accounting Software is an added advantage.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good record-keeping and organisational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Preferably male.
- Candidates residing in or around AMAC, Kubwa, Kado, Karu, Jikwoyi, or nearby areas are strongly preferred.
- Must be able to conveniently commute to the Gwarinpa work location.
