About the role
MTN Nigeria is recruiting a Sales and Trade Development Representative for the Alagbado Sales and Distribution territory. This role focuses on managing dealer relationships, driving product availability, and executing sales and marketing initiatives across the channel of distribution.
Responsibilities
- Contact sub-dealers and dealer branches to verify stock receipt and movement
- Provide training on MTN products, services, and promotions at all visited outlets
- Manage events and promotions, including promo specifications and post-event evaluation
- Conduct 8–10 territory visits daily and maintain weekly/monthly sales and market intelligence reports
- Monitor network quality and sales-impacting metrics
- Maintain >95% MTN product availability in the channel and provide weekly availability reports
- Direct channel participants to identified growth areas
- Establish consistent channel standards and branding
- Increase brand awareness through signage, POS distribution, and achieve 65% visibility in the distribution channel
- Support outlets with merchandising initiatives
- Build and nurture relationships between authorized distributors, sub-dealers, and retailers
- Resolve activation, product, and promotion-related issues
- Gather and report market intelligence to management
Requirements
- First degree (preferably in social sciences)
- Fluent in English
- 1–3 years' experience in a related field
- Experience working in a medium organization
- Sales and marketing experience in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
