About the role

Learning and Development Specialist

The Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing training strategies, coordinating training programs, and ensuring the effective delivery of learning interventions. They also track training effectiveness, maintain accurate records, and support career development initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide input into the development and implementation of the Training and Development Strategy in line with organizational goals.
  • Conduct and collate Training Needs Analysis (TNA) results and develop the annual training calendar.
  • Liaise with line managers to identify employee training needs and recommend appropriate learning interventions.
  • Coordinate internal and external training programs.
  • Support the design and delivery of training programs based on competency gaps.
  • Provide end-to-end logistics support for training programs.
  • Plan and coordinate training programs while monitoring the training budget.
  • Track training activities, schedules, costs, and budget utilization.
  • Coordinate ITF training approvals, documentation, and compliance.
  • Provide training cost projections for HR budget preparation.
  • Ensure proper evaluation of training programs and documentation of action plans.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and assess impact on performance and business outcomes.
  • Track key training metrics and prepare reports.
  • Monitor L&D best practices and recommend improvements.
  • Support career development initiatives and provide recommendations for employee progression.
  • Develop and review a holistic career pathing framework.
  • Support competency development, succession planning, and talent management.
  • Maintain accurate training records for reporting and compliance.
  • Continuously review and improve training processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Education, Psychology, or related field.
  • Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, CIPD) is an added advantage.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in Learning & Development, Training, Talent Management, or HR.
  • Experience in designing and coordinating employee training programs.
  • Experience working with managers to identify learning needs.
  • Experience managing training vendors and external providers.
