PHP Developer

Rednoxx Limited is seeking a PHP Developer to support the development, maintenance, and improvement of their EMR/EHR software platform. This is a full-time, mid-level position based in Kano, Nigeria, requiring 3+ years of PHP development experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve PHP-based EMR/EHR modules for clinical, administrative, billing, pharmacy, laboratory, and inventory workflows
• Build and document REST APIs for internal modules and system integrations
• Design and maintain database tables, relationships, and queries using MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Implement secure coding practices, user authentication, role-based access control, and audit logging
• Investigate, reproduce, and resolve defects from QA, product owners, and users
• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and release preparation activities
• Maintain technical documentation, API notes, and setup instructions

Requirements

• Minimum HND or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of practical PHP development experience
• Strong experience with Laravel or another modern PHP framework
• Proficiency with MySQL/PostgreSQL database design and optimization
• Experience with Git version control in team environments
• Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable code and resolve production issues
• Understanding of secure coding, input validation, and web application security
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with healthcare/EMR/EHR or enterprise applications
• Experience maintaining existing software platforms and resolving production issues
• Knowledge of patient data protection and audit trails
• Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Vue, or React
• Experience with Linux, CI/CD, Docker, or automated testing
