About the role
Government Teacher
The successful candidate will teach Government and help students develop a sound understanding of governance, political systems, citizenship, and contemporary issues.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Government lessons.
- Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and informed analysis.
- Prepare students for relevant examinations.
- Set and mark assessments.
- Monitor students' academic progress.
- Maintain appropriate academic records.
- Encourage responsible citizenship and civic awareness.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (B.Ed., B.Sc / B.A with PGDE) or NCE in the relevant field.
- TRCN registration or evidence of registration will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Sound knowledge of modern teaching methods and digital learning tools.
- A strong passion for child development and academic excellence.
- Good moral character and integrity.
- A strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
- Ability to create a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
- Commitment to the academic, personal, social, and character development of students.
- Relevant teaching experience will be an added advantage.
