About the role

Business Development & Sales Officer

Awicouncil is seeking a disciplined, proactive, and results-driven Business Development & Sales Officer to drive revenue generation and client acquisition. This is a hybrid, performance-based role where approximately 80% focuses on revenue generation and client acquisition, while 20% supports internal operations and professional execution of client engagements.

Responsibilities

Revenue Generation (Primary Focus – 80%)

  • Identify and research qualified prospects (corporates, institutions, founders, executives)
  • Conduct structured outreach via calls, email, referrals, and networking
  • Present company services confidently and professionally
  • Book consultations and secure meetings
  • Follow up consistently and convert prospects into paying clients
  • Build and maintain a structured sales pipeline
  • Achieve monthly revenue targets
  • Track and report all outreach, conversion, and activities

Internal Structure & Operational Support (20%)

  • Assist in organizing company records and documentation
  • Maintain proper client tracking systems
  • Support the structure of proposals and agreements
  • Ensure internal documentation is well-structured and accessible
  • Contribute to building basic operational processes

Client Meeting & Experience Coordination

  • Ensure meeting space is professionally organized
  • Coordinate client experience
  • Prepare documents and materials in advance
  • Support smooth meeting flow
  • Handle follow-up communication post-meeting

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in sales or business development
  • Demonstrated ability to close deals
  • Strong communication, networking, and negotiation skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and disciplined
  • Professional appearance and conduct
  • Comfortable engaging senior decision-makers
  • Degree qualification
  • Fluent in English
  • Highly motivated with strong internal drive and measurable performance focus
  • Ability to operate with discipline and minimal supervision
  • Proactive problem-solving ability
  • High level of professionalism and accountability

Salary

Base: NGN 150,000 per month
Commission: Performance-based commission on revenue generated and successfully collected
Total earnings are performance-dependent.
