About the role
Technical Procurement Supervisor – Project
Support the Technical Procurement Manager in both project/CAPEX and operational technical procurement activities across Beta Glass operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in procurement execution for CAPEX and expansion projects, including furnace expansions, furnace rebuilds, plant upgrades, and other strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate RFQs, technical and commercial bid evaluations, purchase order placement, and supplier follow-up for machinery, equipment, spare parts, and technical services.
- Expedite suppliers to ensure manufacturing, documentation, inspection, shipment, and delivery milestones are achieved in line with project schedules.
- Liaise with Engineering, Projects, Finance, Treasury, Logistics, Technical Stores, and Plant teams to ensure seamless procurement execution.
- Prepare and consolidate procurement and CAPEX reports, highlighting project status, key milestones, risks, delays, and outstanding actions.
- Participate in plant/site visits and project meetings to understand technical requirements and follow up on procurement-related actions.
- Maintain procurement and project trackers, monitor key milestones, and provide periodic status updates to support timely project execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering, Purchasing & Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Technical procurement experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 4-6 years’ experience.
- Strong technical knowledge.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Navision or any other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
