Manager, Compliance

PwC is hiring a Manager, Compliance to lead compliance initiatives and provide regulatory guidance across diverse business sectors in Lagos.

Responsibilities

• Provide compliance and regulatory guidance for new business initiatives, technology platforms, marketing strategies, and expansion efforts
• Conduct effectiveness reviews of compliance culture, programs, and systems against industry standards and international best practices
• Lead development and implementation of robust compliance structures, frameworks, and policies
• Review, analyze, and advise on new and evolving regulations and their organizational impact
• Drive research initiatives and support development of capabilities, proposals, and training materials
• Design and implement data-driven compliance training programs for diverse clients
• Utilize data visualization tools to analyze and communicate complex reports to stakeholders
• Manage complex compliance projects focused on anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing prevention
• Oversee capabilities to evaluate, test, and enhance AML/sanctions screening systems
• Lead compliance risk assessment projects including AML/CTF, sanctions compliance, and CDD/KYC implementations
• Stay updated on developments in Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Corruption, and Sanctions Laws
• Promote and assess effectiveness of compliance culture, control measures, and whistleblowing channels
• Identify and analyze trends in data using advanced analytical tools
• Develop predictive models using machine learning, natural language processing, and statistical analysis methods

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Law, Economics, Banking and Finance, or similar discipline
• Minimum 6 years' compliance experience, preferably in Big 4 or similar consulting environment
• Excellent managerial, organizational, and communication skills
• Proactive problem-solving approach with proven track record of delivering results
• Strong IT skills, technical depth, and analytical capabilities
• Proven experience managing multiple client engagements simultaneously
• Significant experience in data modelling
• Proficiency with data processing tools (R, Python, Spark, or similar)
• Expertise in data visualization tools (PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau, or similar)
• Proven leadership experience in compliance management
• ICA, CAMS, CMS, or similar certification (preferred)
