About the Role

Honeywell is seeking a Senior Account Manager for Sub-Sahara Africa to manage key customer relationships and drive sales growth in the instrumentation and oil & gas sector. This hybrid position focuses on strategic account planning, customer relationship management, and identifying new business opportunities while serving as a trusted advisor to major clients.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day business strategies with balanced focus on customer service and strategic account planning
  • Identify new sales opportunities and provide consultative support by building value propositions
  • Serve as focal point for customer relationships, account planning, proposals, and contract negotiations
  • Drive sales campaigns and business strategic initiatives
  • Pursue growth through regular face-to-face meetings and new customer acquisition in assigned territory
  • Leverage cross-functional company resources to address customer needs
  • Guide executive sponsor interactions with customers and lead peers by influence
  • Manage channel relationships and ensure long-term account growth

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Instrumentation/Automation sales in O&G, Petrochemical, Power & Water, or Mining industries
  • Proven track record managing key O&G customers in the region
  • Demonstrated channel management experience
  • Technical expertise in Instrumentation and Fixed Gas products
  • Multi-country management experience in international, matrix organizations
  • Strong commercial acumen and CRM proficiency (Salesforce)
  • Knowledge of EPC contracts, commercial terms, and industry regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to influence across matrixed teams
