Head of Welfare and Boarding Service
TAAS Group of Schools, Ibadan is seeking a qualified, experienced, and passionate professional to oversee the day-to-day operations of the boarding house and ensure the welfare, safety, and well-being of all boarding students.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the boarding house.
- Ensure the welfare, safety, and well-being of all boarding students.
- Develop and implement welfare policies and procedures.
- Coordinate student support services and pastoral care programs.
- Supervise boarding staff and ensure compliance with school policies.
- Maintain effective communication with parents, guardians, and school management.
- Monitor boarding facilities and recommend improvements where necessary.
- Handle student welfare concerns, discipline matters, and emergency situations appropriately.
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Education, Social Sciences, Administration, Guidance and Counselling, or a related field.
- Have 4–7 years of relevant experience in student welfare, boarding management, school administration, or related roles.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Have experience managing student welfare programs, boarding facilities, and pastoral care services.
- Be capable of supervising boarding staff and ensuring students' safety, discipline, and well-being.
- Possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Be proficient in record-keeping, reporting, and the use of basic computer applications.
- Display integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to safeguarding children.
- Be willing to work beyond regular hours when necessary to support boarding operations.
