Analytics Engineering Manager, Data Platform & Governance

LawnStarter is seeking an Analytics Engineering Manager to lead data governance and ensure the trustworthiness of their data platform. This role involves owning the data roadmap, ensuring data quality, lineage, and security, while migrating to Lightdash as the primary BI platform.

Responsibilities

• Own the data governance strategy and roadmap across the organization.
• Ensure data quality, freshness, and lineage across all data sources, pipelines, and reports.
• Manage the migration to Lightdash, setting up permissions, structure, and norms.
• Govern event tracking standards and AI data readiness.
• Implement data security and privacy protocols.
• Build automation and processes for scalable data operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in data engineering or data governance.
• Strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing (e.g., Redshift, dbt, Airflow).
• Experience with BI tools like Tableau, Metabase, or Lightdash.
• Familiarity with data quality and data governance frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
