Job Overview
Proforce Limited is seeking a vigilant, technically skilled, and detail-oriented CCTV Operator to monitor and manage the company's surveillance systems.
Responsibilities
- Monitor CCTV cameras and surveillance systems continuously to detect suspicious activities, safety hazards, unauthorized access, or security breaches.
- Monitor critical areas including production facilities, warehouses, workshops, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter zones.
- Operate and monitor CCTV recording, playback, zoom, camera positioning, and other surveillance functions.
- Identify and immediately report security incidents, accidents, equipment failures, and unusual activities to the Security Supervisor.
- Maintain accurate daily CCTV monitoring logs and incident reports.
- Retrieve and preserve relevant CCTV footage when required for investigations.
- Ensure cameras, monitors, recording systems, and other surveillance equipment remain operational.
- Conduct basic checks on CCTV equipment, cabling, power supply, network connections, and related technical components.
- Liaise with Engineering, IT, Facilities, and Security teams when technical faults or equipment failures occur.
- Monitor alarm and access-control systems where applicable.
- Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of surveillance footage and security information.
- Report blind spots, damaged cameras, poor image quality, or other surveillance deficiencies.
- Assist in security investigations by providing relevant footage and observations.
- Follow all company security, safety, confidentiality, and data-protection procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum of OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Security Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–3 years' experience as a CCTV Operator, Security Control Room Operator, Surveillance Officer, or similar role.
- Good knowledge of engineering and technical systems is required.
- Practical knowledge of CCTV systems, DVR/NVR systems, IP cameras, access-control systems, and basic networking.
- Basic understanding of electrical wiring, power systems, cabling, and troubleshooting will be an advantage.
- Ability to identify technical faults and escalate them appropriately.
- Good computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent observation, concentration, communication, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays when required.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, alertness, and professionalism.
