About the role

Project Officer

The Today for Tomorrow Initiative (TFT) is seeking a dedicated Project Officer to lead the planning, execution, and day-to-day implementation of project activities across five target LGAs in Nigeria. This role involves supervising community referral champions, managing stakeholder relationships, and overseeing SBCC campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and day-to-day implementation of all project activities across the five target LGAs.
  • Supervise, mentor, and coordinate the routine activities of twenty (20) Community Referral Champions (CRCs).
  • Build and maintain collaborative partnerships with MSI Nigeria, local Primary Health Centers (PHCs), One Stop Centers (OSCs), LGA officials, and community leaders.
  • Direct and oversee community sensitization drives, household outreach campaigns, and the implementation of Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) strategies.
  • Strengthen institutional and community referral linkages for SRHR and SGBV support services.
  • Organize and facilitate monthly project review meetings, quarterly planning sessions, and operational update workshops.
  • Engage in outcome harvesting, storytelling, and result reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Project Management, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of progressive experience managing community-based health or development projects, preferably within NGOs or INGOs.
  • Demonstrated expertise in SRHR, SGBV programming, and SBCC campaigns.
  • Proven track record of supervising, mentoring, and coordinating community health workers, volunteers, or field agents.
  • Strong experience engaging with state/local government authorities, primary healthcare facilities, community leaders, and civil society organizations in Northern Nigeria.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and report-writing skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; fluency in English and local languages spoken in Adamawa State (e.g., Hausa, Fulani).
