Email Infrastructure / Deliverability Engineer

We are hiring a skilled Email Infrastructure / Deliverability Engineer to build and manage high-volume outbound email infrastructure at scale. This is a remote role ideal for someone with deep expertise in SMTP servers, email authentication, and deliverability optimization.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage SMTP servers (Postfix, Exim, PowerMTA)
• Configure DNS authentication records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
• Troubleshoot deliverability issues and optimize inbox placement rates
• Manage IP warmup, rotation, and domain reputation
• Handle bounce processing and SMTP relay configuration

Requirements

• Proficiency in SMTP infrastructure (Postfix, Exim, PowerMTA)
• Strong knowledge of email authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
• DNS configuration expertise (MX, PTR, rDNS records)
• Linux system administration skills
• Experience with IP warmup and rotation strategies
• Proven email deliverability expertise

Nice to Have

• Experience with Smartlead, Instantly.ai, or similar platforms
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace
• Knowledge of Mailcow, Mail-in-a-Box, Amazon SES, Mailgun, Postal SMTP, or Cloudflare DNS
