About the role

Harvest Link Hubs Ltd. is seeking a Business Development Lead to identify and qualify bulk garri buyers across Southwest Nigeria. This is a contract role focused on field-based buyer intelligence, pipeline building, and arranging direct meetings with decision-makers.

Responsibilities:

  • Build a verified pipeline of qualified Southwest bulk garri buyers
  • Capture buyer data including volume, pricing, payment terms, bag size, quality preferences, pickup expectations, and decision-maker details
  • Arrange direct Stage 2 commercial calls with shortlisted serious buyers
  • Produce clear weekly reports with buyer seriousness scoring and next-step recommendations

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, trade sales, commodity trading, food distribution, or agribusiness commercial roles
  • Strong knowledge of Southwest Nigeria markets (Oyo, Ogun, Osun, Ondo, Ekiti, Lagos)
  • Experience dealing with wholesalers, aggregators, institutional buyers, distributors, or bulk commodity buyers
  • Strong field execution and reporting discipline
  • Comfortable with market visits, buyer interviews, and arranging direct decision-maker meetings
  • Degree qualification
  • Fluent in English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in food staples, agro-processing, or commodity channels
  • Existing commercial relationships in relevant buyer networks
  • Experience with garri, cassava, food staples, or bulk commodity buyers
