Medical Radiographer

Responsible for justifying and performing radiographic examinations, ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging services to assist in patient management. Works under the guidance of a Radiologist and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe and effective imaging care.

Responsibilities

• Justify and perform radiographic examinations with minimum radiation exposure.
• Operate and maintain x-ray equipment safely and efficiently.
• Provide professional opinions to clinicians on diagnostic images.
• Maintain accurate patient records and communicate effectively with healthcare workers.
• Participate in training and development of student radiographers.
• Undertake aftercare of patients following contrast media injections.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Radiologist.

Requirements

• A Degree in Radiography.
• Minimum of two years post-qualification experience across relevant modalities.
• Experience working in a radiography team and multidisciplinary environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• IT skills and knowledge of information governance.
