General Counsel

The General Counsel is the chief legal officer of Legion Technologies and a key member of the executive leadership team. This role is responsible for leading Legion’s global legal, intellectual property, and corporate functions, while serving as a strategic partner to the CEO, executive team, and Board of Directors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive legal strategy that aligns with Legion’s business objectives and growth plans in AI-powered workforce management.
• Advise the CEO, executive team, and Board on key legal, regulatory, and governance matters, including risk, compliance, fundraising, and strategic transactions.
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing in-house legal team; manage external counsel efficiently across specialties and jurisdictions.
• Own legal support for Legion’s commercial operations, including enterprise SaaS subscriptions, channel, OEM, marketplace, and strategic partner agreements.
• Own Legion’s global privacy and data protection program, including compliance with U.S. federal and state laws (e.g., CCPA/CPRA) and international frameworks where applicable.
• Advise on employment matters across Legion’s workforce, including hiring, terminations, performance management, compensation, and incentive programs.
• Develop and implement Legion’s global IP strategy, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and open-source usage.
• Identify and monitor evolving legal and regulatory developments affecting AI and machine learning, data privacy and security, employment and labor laws, enterprise software and cloud services.
• Lead legal aspects of M&A, investments, and strategic partnerships, from diligence and transaction negotiation through integration.

Requirements

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school and membership in good standing.
