Asset and Liability Management Officer

A highly analytical and detail-oriented professional is needed to manage cash flows, liquidity positions, and funding requirements. This role involves preparing ALM reports, analyzing assets and liabilities, conducting risk analyses, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cash flows, liquidity positions, and funding requirements.
• Prepare ALM reports, dashboards, and management information.
• Analyze assets and liabilities to identify mismatches and emerging risks.
• Track funding sources, investment deployment, and portfolio performance.
• Conduct profitability, liquidity, and risk analyses.
• Perform stress testing and scenario analysis.
• Support Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO) activities and follow up on approved actions.
• Reconcile treasury and investment data across departments.
• Ensure compliance with ALM policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
• Monitor market trends, Sukuk yields, and competitor pricing.
• Support audits, regulatory reviews, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Professional qualifications such as CFA, ACA, ACCA, FRM, ACI, or similar are desirable.
• Minimum of 4 years experience in treasury, ALM, portfolio management, financial analysis, market risk, or related financial services roles.
• Knowledge of the Nigerian financial market and non-interest finance is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of treasury operations, liquidity management, and financial risk.
• Understanding of Shariah-compliant financial instruments such as Sukuk and Mudaraba.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and financial modelling skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting capabilities.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• High integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
