Marketing Lead - Beauty, Grooming & Fragrance

The Marketing Lead is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies for the Beauty, Grooming, and Fragrance category. This includes planning campaigns, managing brand launches, optimizing store experience, and driving high-value customer growth. The role also involves working with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful marketing execution.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual and quarterly marketing plans aligned with sales, margin, launch, and assortment priorities.
• Define how SPAR should present Beauty, Grooming, and Fragrance to different customer groups and store types.
• Plan campaigns around local seasons, gifting occasions, and beauty trends.
• Use customer data to develop targeted offers, events, and loyalty activities.
• Own the category campaign calendar and manage new brand and product launches.
• Set standards for in-store displays, sampling, and premium presentation.
• Plan digital content across social media, website, e-commerce, and CRM channels.
• Secure supplier funding, samples, and launch support.
• Manage marketing budget and report on results.

Requirements

• Minimum of a First Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field.
• MBA or relevant professional qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum 8 years of retail, FMCG, or lifestyle marketing experience, including at least 3 years in Beauty, Grooming, Fragrance, or premium consumer brands.
• Proven experience in category or brand marketing, new product launches, digital and CRM campaigns, in-store activation, events, and agency management.
• Strong understanding of high-net-worth and aspirational customers in Nigeria, premium brands, and beauty trends.
• Strong data, Excel, BI, and digital marketing skills with budget management experience.
