Head of Programmes & Business Development

Africana League, a civic society organization, is hiring a Head of Programmes & Business Development to lead programme delivery and build strategic partnerships and funding streams.

Responsibilities

• Manage flagship programmes including Nigeria House of Commons Season 2, Africana League Corps pilot, and Africana League Awards
• Lead grant writing, donor relationship management, and sponsorship strategy
• Serve as the face of Africana League in key stakeholder meetings
• Oversee multiple programmes simultaneously

Requirements

• 2–4+ years of experience in programme management, business development, or partnerships in civic, development, or media sectors
• Proven track record of securing funding (grants, sponsorships, partnerships)
• Strong writing ability
• Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Existing relationships with donors, foundations, or corporate sponsors in youth governance and civic leadership in Nigeria (preferred)
