Engineering - Wells Advisor III
The Wells Advisor III role is for a late-career, expert-level individual with strong technical and interpersonal skills. This position involves mentoring drilling and completion engineers, overseeing drilling programs, and ensuring safe and efficient operations. The role also requires collaboration with various stakeholders and a deep understanding of industry codes and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Mentor and interface with less-experienced drilling and completion engineers.
- Provide oversight of drilling programs and ensure consistency in practices across multiple rig lines.
- Interface with Affiliate / Business Unit on Logistics, Environmental, Regulatory, Procurement, and Cost Stewardship activities.
- Develop and lead longer-term team performance improvement initiatives and engineering studies.
- Participate in vendor clarifications, FAT’s, and package acceptance.
- Review drawings and specifications.
- Address human factors engineering as well as safety of personnel and equipment.
- Assist in development and review of commissioning and System Integration Test procedures.
- Support construction and commissioning efforts as required.
Requirements
- Degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical or Civil preferably).
- Advanced analytical and computing skills.
- Experience required in construction site management, preferably familiar with Drilling well site design.
- Adaptability to changing priorities.
- Extensive experience in Drilling Rig development including FEED, Detail Design, Construction, and Commissioning.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to organize and progress own work schedule.
- Experience working within multi-disciplined team environment involving multiple stakeholders.
- Familiar with applicable industry related codes (API, ASME, ANSI, SAE, ASTM, ABS, DNV, SOLAS, IMO).
- Knowledge of Offshore Oil and Gas regulations.
