Developer Advocate

Moniepoint Inc. is seeking a Developer Advocate to serve as the bridge between our APIs and the developer community. You will empower developers through exceptional technical content, foster community engagement, and advocate for developer needs within our product teams.

Responsibilities

• Content Creation: Write and maintain technical documentation, author tutorials and blog posts, create how-to videos, product demos, and webinars
• Community Engagement: Actively engage with developers on forums, social media, and at meetups/hackathons/conferences as a speaker and attendee
• Developer Support & Feedback: Serve as first point of contact for developer queries; gather and channel community feedback to product and engineering teams
• Strategy & Outreach: Contribute to developer relations strategy; develop code samples, SDKs, and demo applications

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience as a software engineer
• Strong understanding of web technologies, APIs (REST, GraphQL), and modern programming languages (JavaScript/Node.js, Python, etc.)
• Exceptional communication skills—ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms
• Public portfolio of technical writing (blog, Medium, Dev.to, Hashnode, etc.)
• Experience speaking at meetups, conferences, or webinars
• Genuine passion for helping developers succeed and empathy for their challenges

Nice to Have

• Experience in FinTech or financial APIs (payments, banking)
• Previous Developer Relations or Developer Advocate role experience
• Video content creation and editing skills
• Active participation in open-source projects or developer communities
