Order Taker

Responsible for receiving and coordinating restaurant and room-service orders to ensure guests receive accurate, timely and courteous service.

Responsibilities

• Take food and beverage orders by telephone or in person and enter them accurately into the POS system.
• Explain menu items, availability and prices clearly to guests.
• Confirm room numbers, guest details, special requests and dietary or allergy information, and relay them to the appropriate team.
• Coordinate with kitchen, bar and service staff to monitor order preparation and delivery.
• Check order accuracy, communicate delays and follow up guest concerns promptly.
• Maintain order records and comply with hotel service, hygiene and billing procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE; OND or training in Hospitality or a related discipline is an advantage.
• At least 1 year of restaurant, room-service or order-taking experience.
• Clear communication, good telephone etiquette and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to use a POS system, multitask and work accurately under pressure.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
