Accountant

Michael Stevens Consulting is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic manufacturing team and contribute to our continued success.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare timely financial reports
• Process daily accounting transactions and bank reconciliations
• Prepare monthly management accounts and statutory reports
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and internal control requirements
• Monitor inventory and cost accounting activities
• Support external audits and other finance-related assignments
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• ICAN certification or currently in the process of obtaining ICAN qualification (mandatory)
• 1–4 years relevant accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage Pastel, Peachtree (Sage 50), and Microsoft Excel
• Good understanding of financial reporting, taxation, inventory management, and cost accounting
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
