About the role

Assistant Accountant

Myafrimall Logistics Limited is recruiting an Assistant Accountant to support financial operations and maintain accurate accounting records.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Process invoices, payments, receipts, and reconciliations
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Monitor and track accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure account accuracy
  • Assist in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost monitoring
  • Support payroll-related financial processes
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial accuracy across operations
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

Requirements

  • Minimum of OND, HND, or BSc in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience (NYSC experience is an added advantage)
  • Good understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho, or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Good organisational, time management, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Integrity, confidentiality, and a high level of professionalism
  • Must reside within or close to Ogba, Berger, Ikeja, or surrounding areas
