Treasury Manager
Peopleware Consulting Ltd is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Treasury Manager to oversee the organisation’s cash management, liquidity, banking relationships, and treasury operations. The successful candidate will ensure effective management of cash resources, minimise financial risks, and support sound financial decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily cash flow, liquidity, and working capital requirements.
- Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts and treasury reports.
- Oversee bank accounts, transactions, reconciliations, and cash movements.
- Manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
- Monitor and optimise cash balances and short-term investments.
- Ensure timely payments and effective management of company obligations.
- Monitor foreign exchange exposure and interest rate risks where applicable.
- Develop and maintain effective treasury controls and processes.
- Review banking charges and negotiate favourable banking terms.
- Monitor borrowing facilities, interest payments, and debt obligations.
- Ensure compliance with treasury policies, financial controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide management with accurate reports and insights on liquidity and cash positions.
- Identify and mitigate financial and treasury risks.
- Support budgeting, financial planning, audits, and other finance initiatives.
- Lead and develop the treasury team while driving continuous process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent is required.
- 5–7 years’ relevant experience, with significant experience in treasury or cash management.
- Proven experience in cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, banking operations, and financial risk management.
- Experience managing banking relationships and treasury systems.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian financial, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory finance role is required.
