Automation Engineer

Rite Foods Ltd is hiring an Automation Engineer to support plant-wide process automation, minimize losses from equipment malfunction, and drive continuous improvement in a beverage manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the entire plant on process automation and loss minimization from process malfunction
• Extract and analyse automation data; manage software licenses and versions
• Support corrective maintenance in automation and process control via evaluation, troubleshooting, and knowledge transfer
• Manage calibration activities, software modifications, backups, parameter registration, and version control
• Assess the performance of shift technicians and electrical technicians in solving automation issues
• Access and train technicians and operators in automation processes
• Support inventory requirements for automation and process control
• Prepare, execute, and evaluate required software or automation modifications
• Develop and implement automation maintenance policy and contingency plans (obsolescence management)
• Organize third-party automation support services (e.g. teleservice and emergency support)
• Support the production team in translating technical requirements from new product/recipe developments
• Develop and maintain a database of all beverage plant automation information (settings, sensitivity, parameters, etc.)
• Provide at least one innovative/improvement idea to enhance continuous improvement in the process
• Perform other duties as assigned by Line Manager/HOD

Requirements

Education:

• Minimum of B.Eng., B.Sc., or HND in Electrical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics, Control Engineering, or Automation Engineering

Experience:

• Minimum of 5–8 years relevant experience in process automation, preferably in a manufacturing/production environment

Salary

₦750,000 – ₦1,000,000/month
