Crop Husbandry and Horticulture Teacher

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Biology and Agric teacher to join our middle school team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching biology and agriculture to students in 7-9, creating engaging lesson plans, and fostering a love of learning in a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach biology and agriculture: Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans to students in Year 7-9.
• Keep parents informed about student progress and involvement during parents-teachers meetings.
• Create a supportive learning environment: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
• Assess student progress: Develop and implement assessments to evaluate student understanding and progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues: Work with other teachers to develop curriculum and share best practices.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Agriculture or a related field
• Teaching certification: TRCN
• Experience: Previous teaching experience, especially in biology and agriculture, is an asset.
