Procurement Engineer
Ascentech Services Limited is seeking a Procurement Engineer to manage the sourcing and purchasing of engineering materials, spare parts, machinery, equipment, and other technical supplies required for smooth manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Source and procure engineering spare parts, machinery, equipment, and industrial materials.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage reliable local and international suppliers.
- Obtain and compare quotations and negotiate competitive prices and payment terms.
- Prepare and process purchase orders while ensuring timely delivery.
- Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, Stores, Finance, and QA teams to understand technical requirements.
- Review technical specifications and ensure procured items meet required standards.
- Monitor supplier performance, lead times, quality, and costs.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare regular reports.
- Support inventory planning and ensure critical engineering items are available when required.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, HSSE requirements, and ethical procurement practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree/HND in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Purchasing & Supply, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 3–5 years' experience in procurement, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong experience sourcing engineering spare parts, machinery, equipment, and technical materials.
- Good understanding of technical specifications and engineering materials.
- Strong negotiation, supplier management, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in ERP procurement systems and Microsoft Office.
Salary ₦250,000 – ₦300,000 Gross
