Senior Accountant

Commerce Alliance Holdings Limited is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Accountant with a strong background in the capital market and financial services industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, treasury management, and strategic financial planning across the Group.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage the general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting processes
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, SEC regulations, and other applicable regulatory requirements
• Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Oversee tax planning, compliance, and statutory remittances
• Liaise with auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders
• Monitor cash flow, treasury operations, and investment-related transactions
• Prepare and submit regulatory returns within stipulated timelines
• Develop and maintain strong internal controls and risk management processes
• Support executive management with financial analysis and decision-making
• Supervise and mentor members of the finance team

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• ICAN, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification (mandatory)
• Minimum of 7 years' relevant accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior accounting role
• Proven experience in the capital market, asset management, stockbroking, investment banking, or related financial services sector
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience preparing SEC and other regulatory filings
• Knowledge of investment and portfolio accounting
• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

Salary

₦800,000 monthly
