About the role
Senior Accountant
Commerce Alliance Holdings Limited is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Accountant with a strong background in the capital market and financial services industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, treasury management, and strategic financial planning across the Group.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage the general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting processes
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, SEC regulations, and other applicable regulatory requirements
- Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Oversee tax planning, compliance, and statutory remittances
- Liaise with auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders
- Monitor cash flow, treasury operations, and investment-related transactions
- Prepare and submit regulatory returns within stipulated timelines
- Develop and maintain strong internal controls and risk management processes
- Support executive management with financial analysis and decision-making
- Supervise and mentor members of the finance team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- ICAN, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification (mandatory)
- Minimum of 7 years' relevant accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior accounting role
- Proven experience in the capital market, asset management, stockbroking, investment banking, or related financial services sector
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience preparing SEC and other regulatory filings
- Knowledge of investment and portfolio accounting
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
