Accountant

About the Role Resurgir Consulting is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage financial records, prepare comprehensive reports, and ensure regulatory compliance. You'll play a key role in supporting management with accurate financial information for strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounting documentation
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts regularly
• Monitor cash flow and prepare cash management reports
• Process invoices, payments, and financial transactions
• Prepare and file statutory deductions and tax-related obligations
• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
• Conduct periodic financial reviews and support internal control processes
• Assist with inventory accounting and stock reconciliation
• Prepare schedules and documentation for audits
• Collaborate with management to provide financial insights and recommendations
• Support external auditors during annual audits
• Identify financial discrepancies and recommend corrective actions

Requirements

• Minimum HND or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar accounting role
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Nice to Have

• Previous auditing experience
• ICAN certification or ICAN in view
• Experience in manufacturing, beverage, liquor, or FMCG environments

Work Schedule Monday to Friday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM Saturday: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM
