Copywriter

FairMoney is seeking a talented Copywriter to join our hybrid team in Lagos. In this role, you'll create compelling marketing copy across multiple formats and languages, translating complex financial concepts into clear, engaging messaging that resonates with Nigerian audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop persuasive marketing copy across various formats and channels
• Create original content in both English and Yoruba tailored to local audiences
• Simplify technical and financial concepts into clear, trustworthy messaging
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Marketing, CRM, and Customer Support teams
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Incorporate feedback quickly and iterate on content

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, English, or related discipline
• 3–5 years of professional copywriting experience (fintech, banking, e-commerce, or digital-first business preferred)
• Exceptional written English with strong editing and proofreading skills
• Deep understanding of Nigerian culture, consumer behavior, and local communication styles
• Professional proficiency in English and Yoruba; ability to create original copy in both languages
• Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, versatility, and measurable business impact
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Excellent organizational and project management skills
