Head, Internal Audit

Prixair is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Internal Audit to lead the Group’s internal audit function. The successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening governance, risk management, internal controls, compliance, and fraud prevention across the organization and its subsidiaries.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Group Internal Audit strategy and annual audit plan.
• Establish audit policies, procedures, and methodologies aligned with global best practices.
• Review and update audit plans based on emerging risks and business priorities.
• Assess the effectiveness of risk management frameworks and internal control systems.
• Identify financial, operational, regulatory, strategic, and technology-related risks.
• Recommend and monitor corrective actions to address control gaps.
• Lead audits across finance, treasury, payroll, procurement, inventory, and fixed assets.
• Conduct operational audits to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and value creation.
• Review significant contracts, investments, projects, and business operations.
• Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards.
• Lead investigations into fraud, misconduct, and financial irregularities.
• Recommend preventive measures to minimize future risks.
• Prepare and present audit reports to executive management, the Audit Committee, and the Board.
• Provide annual assessments of governance, risk management, and internal control effectiveness.
• Ensure audit findings are supported by evidence and communicated promptly.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in Internal Audit, Risk Management, Compliance, or related functions.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance, internal controls, and risk management frameworks.
• Proven experience leading audits and managing audit teams.
• Excellent analytical, investigative, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional certifications (ICAN, ACCA, CIA, CISA, or related certifications) are an added advantage.
