Sales Engineer – Solar Energy Solutions

Winock Solar Nigeria Limited is seeking a Sales Engineer to drive sales of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. This role combines technical expertise in solar design and installation with business development, requiring you to assess customer needs, design solutions, prepare proposals, and oversee installations.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across residential, commercial, and industrial solar markets
• Conduct client meetings to understand energy requirements and project objectives
• Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals; conduct site assessments and feasibility studies
• Negotiate with prospective clients and support contract closure
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and achieve assigned revenue targets
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
• Conduct energy audits and load analysis
• Design solar photovoltaic systems based on client requirements
• Recommend appropriate solar components (panels, inverters, batteries, mounting structures, protection devices)
• Interpret electrical drawings and prepare system layouts
• Ensure proposed solutions comply with relevant electrical and safety standards
• Lead or participate in the installation of solar PV systems
• Ensure installations are completed within agreed timelines and company quality standards
• Troubleshoot installation issues and provide corrective actions
• Respond promptly to technical inquiries and provide after-sales technical support
• Conduct periodic maintenance inspections and resolve customer complaints professionally

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 2–4 years of practical experience in solar photovoltaic system installation
• Proven experience in technical sales or engineering support
• Experience with residential, commercial, and industrial solar projects
• Experience preparing technical proposals and quotations
