About the Role
Gidia Oaks Limited (GoL), the Build & Operate Contractor for the AfWS Eko Atlantic City Tier-III Data Centre, is seeking an experienced Network Fabric & Security Infrastructure Engineer to join its engineering team in Lagos. This is an opportunity to work on one of Nigeria's next-generation data centre projects, with strong expertise required in enterprise networking, VLAN architecture, network security, Linux networking, and zero-trust infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and manage enterprise VLAN architectures
- Implement and operate network security infrastructure
- Manage Certificate Authority (CA) and X.509 certificates
- Configure and maintain mTLS implementations
- Design and deploy zero-trust security architectures
- Monitor and troubleshoot network performance using industry-standard tools
- Ensure secure network design and operations across the data centre
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years' hands-on network engineering experience, with at least 1 year in a security-focused role
- Proven experience configuring enterprise VLAN architectures and managing network security infrastructure
- Hands-on experience operating a Certificate Authority (CA) and managing X.509 certificates
- Practical knowledge of mTLS, Linux networking tools, iptables/nftables
- Proficiency with network monitoring utilities such as Wireshark and tcpdump
- Strong understanding of zero-trust security principles and secure network design
Salary
₦850,000 – ₦1,200,000 gross per month (Negotiable)
