Senior Accountant

Brilliant Performance Solutions Limited is seeking a self-driven and articulate Senior Accountant to provide comprehensive management and financial accounting support due to increasing business activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger entries, reconciliations, and detailed reviews of profit and loss accounts
• Prepare and reconcile P&L and Balance Sheet reports on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders and ensure compliance with IRS regulations
• Monitor and manage multiple company bank accounts daily
• Prepare annual tax returns and regulatory submissions
• Manage project budgets and ensure accounting compliance with applicable laws
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support management decisions
• Oversee bookkeepers and maintain accounting systems
• Apply construction accounting standards and procedures
• Set up jobs, budgets, subcontracts, and change orders in accounting software
• Collaborate with Construction Project Managers on receivables and payables management
• Communicate with funding agencies regarding pay applications and lien waivers
• Review and approve payables for payment
• Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end closings
• Monitor and resolve bank issues
• Assist with audit and tax return coordination
• Implement and maintain internal financial controls

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of accounting experience
• HND or BSc in Accounting
• Member of a Professional Accounting body (preferably at final stage)
• Chartered Accountant status is an advantage
• Construction industry experience is preferred
• Candidates residing within Ikeja or environs are preferred
