A Cashier is responsible for handling all cash and sales transactions accurately, maintaining daily sales records, and ensuring proper documentation of payments received.

Responsibilities

• Handle cash, POS, and bank transfer payments.
• Issue official receipts for every payment received.
• Confirm bank transfers before releasing goods.
• Maintain correct pricing for goods sold.
• Open and close cash float at the start and end of each day.
• Balance cash drawer and POS at the end of the day.
• Prepare daily cash sales report and bank lodgment.
• Record all sales in the sales register/system.
• File copies of receipts, invoices, and bank tellers daily.
• Reconcile sales with inventory releases from Stock Officer.
• Flag any price discrepancies.
• Attend to customers professionally and politely.
• Handle complaints about billing and refer to supervisor if needed.
• Maintain a neat and organized cashier area.
• Ensure no release of goods without payment confirmation.
• No discounts or price changes without approval.
• Maintain confidentiality of company financial information.
