Accountant

Wendernek Consulting Limited is seeking a qualified Accountant to oversee financial operations and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Maintain accurate daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Match bank statements with general ledgers to identify discrepancies and prevent financial errors
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in line with regulatory and company standards
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities
• Manage cash flow, monitor expenditures, and recommend cost-control measures
• Provide financial analysis and insights to guide strategic decision-making
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies
• Contribute to the development of financial strategies that align with organizational objectives
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with the external financial community

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years related experience
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and Nigerian tax regulations
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Customer Service Orientation/Client Focus (Internal and External)
