About the role
Technical Sales Engineer
Alan & Grant is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to promote innovative compressed air and vacuum solutions, energy solutions, pumps, power tools, and assembly solutions to customers across Nigeria.
Responsibilities
- Promote company equipment and values to customers
- Act as a compressed air and gas equipment consultant
- Follow up with existing customers with professionalism and commitment
- Identify and develop new potential customers
- Set and maintain a clear activity agenda
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and proforma invoices with profitable pricing
- Protect and promote company price positioning
- Report market activities, customer information, and competitor intelligence using sales databases
- Conduct site surveys and provide technical advice to existing and potential customers
- Continuously improve technical knowledge on products, technology, and applications
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years' technical sales experience
- Self-driven and result-oriented with positive outlook
- Strong competence and confidence; ability to adapt communication style
- Reliable and determined
- Empathetic communicator
- Willing to travel extensively
- Clean driving license
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of compressed air equipment
- Application tools expertise
- Portable air applications experience
- Dryers knowledge
