About the role

Technical Sales Engineer

Alan & Grant is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to promote innovative compressed air and vacuum solutions, energy solutions, pumps, power tools, and assembly solutions to customers across Nigeria.

Responsibilities

  • Promote company equipment and values to customers
  • Act as a compressed air and gas equipment consultant
  • Follow up with existing customers with professionalism and commitment
  • Identify and develop new potential customers
  • Set and maintain a clear activity agenda
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and proforma invoices with profitable pricing
  • Protect and promote company price positioning
  • Report market activities, customer information, and competitor intelligence using sales databases
  • Conduct site surveys and provide technical advice to existing and potential customers
  • Continuously improve technical knowledge on products, technology, and applications

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years' technical sales experience
  • Self-driven and result-oriented with positive outlook
  • Strong competence and confidence; ability to adapt communication style
  • Reliable and determined
  • Empathetic communicator
  • Willing to travel extensively
  • Clean driving license

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of compressed air equipment
  • Application tools expertise
  • Portable air applications experience
  • Dryers knowledge
