Network Fabric & Security Infrastructure Engineer

Escrow-Tech Limited is seeking a Network Fabric & Security Infrastructure Engineer to design, configure, and maintain multi-tier network fabric and cryptographic access control infrastructure for the AfWS compute platform. This is a data centre-grade network security engineering role requiring expertise in VLAN isolation, Certificate Authority management, and mTLS implementation.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain three-tier VLAN isolation architecture (tenant compute, management, and air-gapped sovereign data vault)
• Operate private Certificate Authority infrastructure — generating, signing, and distributing X.509 client certificates per tenant
• Configure and maintain mTLS validation on all inbound xterm.js SSH terminal connections
• Write and maintain iptables/nftables packet filtering rules to block cross-slot scanning and lateral movement
• Maintain staff access revocation infrastructure with session invalidation within 60 seconds of revocation
• Monitor network infrastructure for anomalous traffic and respond to security incidents within defined SLAs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, or related discipline
• Minimum 3 years hands-on network engineering experience, with at least 1 year in a security-focused role
• Direct experience configuring and managing VLAN architectures on enterprise or data centre switching infrastructure
• Demonstrable experience running a Certificate Authority and issuing/revoking X.509 certificates
• Practical mTLS implementation experience on reverse proxies (nginx, HAProxy, or equivalent)
• Strong command of Linux networking tools: ip, ss, tcpdump, nmap, iptables/nftables, Wireshark
• Security-first mindset with zero-trust network principles

Nice to Have

• Experience with xterm.js or web-based terminal proxies and security configuration
• Familiarity with air-gapped network segment design
• Knowledge of NDPA 2023 data protection requirements and network design implications
• Experience in data centre or co-location network environment
• CCNA, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent professional certification

Salary

₦850,000 – ₦1,200,000 per month gross (Negotiable)

• Entry Level: ₦850,000/month
• Mid Level: ₦1,025,000/month
• Senior Level: ₦1,200,000/month
