Junior Loan Recovery Officer

Join Sage-Grey Finance Limited as a Junior Loan Recovery Officer and take a key role in managing debt recovery operations. This position requires a proactive professional with strong negotiation skills and a solid understanding of loan documentation and recovery techniques.

Responsibilities

• Execute debt recovery strategies and loan collection activities
• Negotiate with debtors and develop repayment arrangements
• Process and manage loan documentation
• Utilize recovery management systems and CRM tools
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and ethical practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
• 2–4 years' experience in debt recovery, collections, credit risk, or banking operations
• Experience in a financial institution (mandatory)
• Strong understanding of debt collection techniques, negotiation strategies, and loan documentation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• High resilience, emotional intelligence, and ability to handle difficult conversations
• Integrity, confidentiality, and strong ethical mindset
• Understanding of Nigerian legal frameworks relating to debt recovery
• Knowledge of regulatory guidelines (CBN circulars on fair debt collection practices)
