ELV Technician

A qualified ELV Technician is needed to perform daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical and extra low voltage systems in a facility management setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance on electrical/ELV systems including CCTV cameras, smoke detectors, public address systems, access control, smart lighting, and HVAC control.
• Troubleshoot and repair all ELV equipment using hand and power tools.
• Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems, and inspect ELV components.
• Identify electrical/ELV problems using testing devices.
• Follow blueprints to ensure correct installation of wiring and equipment.
• Conduct maintenance repairs on old or faulty fixtures.
• Respond to fault requests and identify faults or hazards.

Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) years' experience as an ELV maintenance technician in a facility management sector.
• Minimum of trade test 1-3 certification.
• Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
• Ability to work after hours, weekends, and public holidays with short or no notice.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Commitment to safety and quality.
• Very good communication and organizational skills.
