About the role

Sales & Marketing Manager

Devon Pharmaceuticals Company Limited is seeking a highly motivated Sales & Marketing Manager to drive business development and revenue growth in the Nigerian pharmaceutical market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve growth targets in the Nigerian pharmaceutical market
  • Identify, evaluate, and secure new business opportunities, partnerships, and distribution networks
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and emerging product opportunities
  • Build strong relationships with hospitals, pharmacies, government institutions, and medical representatives
  • Lead negotiations with partners, agents, and distributors to secure profitable agreements
  • Collaborate with marketing and regulatory teams to support product registration, launches, and promotional campaigns
  • Prepare and present business proposals, market reports, and performance analyses to management
  • Monitor and evaluate business performance, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and sales forecasts
  • Represent the company at exhibitions, conferences, and trade fairs
  • Assess risks, challenges, and opportunities in the pharmaceutical landscape

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or postgraduate qualification is an advantage)
  • 4–6 years of proven experience in pharmaceutical sales, marketing, or business development
  • Strong understanding of the Nigerian pharmaceutical market, distribution channels, and regulatory environment
  • Demonstrated success in identifying new business opportunities and growing market share
  • Smart, analytical, and business-savvy with strong decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong networking and relationship-building capability
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • High integrity, professionalism, and resilience under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM tools
