IT Officer

Ama Zuma Group is seeking an IT Officer to manage systems and network operations, provide technical support, oversee software and data management, and support IT projects, procurement, security, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain computers, servers, printers, and network equipment
• Monitor network performance and security; ensure uptime
• Manage user accounts, passwords, access rights, and email systems
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and provide helpdesk support
• Train employees on new software, tools, and IT policies
• Install and update software, antivirus, and operating systems
• Manage data backups and disaster recovery plans
• Maintain databases and ensure data security and compliance
• Assist in planning and implementing new IT systems or upgrades
• Evaluate and recommend hardware/software purchases; liaise with vendors
• Implement cybersecurity measures (firewalls, patches, access controls)
• Ensure IT policies comply with company and regulatory requirements
• Document IT procedures, inventories, and system configurations

Requirements

• HND/BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Programming, Networking, Database Management, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience in a computer-related environment
