About the role
Area Sales Manager - Aqua
Olam Agri is hiring an Area Sales Manager to lead sales, distribution, and market development activities within an assigned region, driving business growth and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute regional sales plans aligned with business objectives and distribution strategy
- Drive sales, revenue, and market share growth by achieving quarterly and annual targets
- Lead regional sales and distribution operations to ensure target achievement and execution excellence
- Expand distribution reach, improve market coverage, and strengthen route-to-market effectiveness
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and mitigate risks
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, channel partners, and key customers
- Plan and execute promotional campaigns, market development initiatives, and product launches
- Lead, coach, and develop regional sales teams to deliver high performance
- Foster a results-driven culture through training, mentoring, and performance management
Requirements
Education:
- MBA or Post-Graduate Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field, OR
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or relevant discipline
Experience:
- 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in sales and distribution
- Proven experience managing regional sales operations and achieving sales targets
- Experience in channel management, distributor handling, and market development
- Strong understanding of regional market dynamics, geography, and customer demographics
- FMCG, Agri-business, or Consumer Goods experience preferred
