Civil Engineer

Bravion Group is hiring a Civil Engineer for their Abuja office. This is a full-time role requiring a seasoned professional to plan, design, and oversee construction projects while ensuring compliance with standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design building structures following construction and government standards using design software
• Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to specifications
• Direct construction operations and building maintenance
• Participate in surveying to establish reference points and elevations
• Collaborate with engineers and architects on project specifications
• Negotiate contracts with vendors
• Obtain permits and licenses from authorities
• Determine resources (manpower, equipment, materials) within budget
• Plan construction operations and schedule phases to meet deadlines
• Develop project schedules, budgets, and billings
• Supervise laborers and provide guidance
• Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards
• Develop client service plans
• Create design sketches, electronic models, and diagrams
• Conduct quality assurance and quality control
• Utilize 3D modeling technologies and provide markups for junior staff
• Communicate with departments to meet project needs
• Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data
• Carry out technical and feasibility studies
• Assess risks, materials, and costs
• Resolve emerging problems creatively

Requirements

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Civil Engineering
• COREN certification (Essential)
• 5-7+ years as a Structural Civil Engineer/Project Manager with proven portfolio
• PMP or equivalent certification (Essential)
• In-depth knowledge of construction procedures and project management principles
• Familiarity with quality, health, and safety standards
• Expert proficiency in: AutoCAD (2D/3D), MS Project, Primavera, STAAD Pro, FORTRAN (Essential)
• Availability for travel (Essential)
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Team player with leadership abilities

Salary N300,000 monthly
