Accountant

NAJEC FMCG Limited is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage financial records, cash and bank operations, inventory, statutory compliance, payroll, and financial reporting while strengthening financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Maintain financial records, general ledger, journals, and month-end adjustments.
• Manage bank, supplier, customer, and receivables reconciliations.
• Monitor cash handling, banking, credit sales, and overdue payments.
• Reconcile inventory with physical stock and investigate variances.
• Prepare and remit VAT, WHT, PAYE, Pension, NSITF, and ITF obligations.
• Prepare payroll, management accounts, budgets, and cash-flow forecasts.
• Support audits and enforce controls to prevent fraud and revenue leakage.

Requirements

• B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years’ hands-on accounting experience, preferably in FMCG, distribution, wholesale, or trading.
• Knowledge of Nigerian tax and statutory obligations.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or similar accounting software.
• Strong Microsoft Excel, analytical, and reconciliation skills.
• ICAN/ACCA qualification or active pursuit is an advantage.
• High integrity, confidentiality, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.

Salary ₦200,000 – ₦300,000 Monthly
