Junior Applications Developer

TRANOS is hiring a Junior Applications Developer for a full-time, on-site role based in Lagos. You will assist in designing, developing, and maintaining software applications under the guidance of Senior developers.

Responsibilities

• Write clean and efficient code
• Participate in code reviews
• Test and debug applications
• Support integration between different systems
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand requirements
• Contribute to technical documentation
• Ensure applications perform reliably in production environments
• Learn and apply best practices in software development

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python, Visual Basic, SQL, HTML, and JavaScript
• Skills in database management (data modeling, querying, application data management)
• Proficiency in CSS for styling and user interface enhancement
• Knowledge of application integration, APIs, and third-party tools
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication and willingness to learn
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Basic understanding of web technologies
