Head of Finance – Glovo

About the Role

Lead Glovo's financial strategy and operations in Lagos as Head of Finance. You'll drive financial planning, commercial growth initiatives, and ensure robust financial controls while partnering with global headquarters and local leadership teams.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), build business scenarios, and establish clear paths to market profitability
• Propose and execute data-backed commercial initiatives to optimize revenue and profitability
• Direct monthly financial closing reviews, establish provisions, and deliver robust reporting packages
• Conduct variance analysis between actual and budgeted performance to keep leadership aligned
• Manage relationships with Big 4 auditors and ensure strong technical defenses for financial statements
• Develop and implement legal, regulatory, and tax risk mitigation strategies
• Oversee treasury operations, billing, and accounts payable workflows
• Partner with global finance teams to surface regional risks/opportunities and share process improvements

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in technical finance disciplines (Accounting, Tax, Treasury, FP&A)
• Proven Big 4 audit/Tier 1 audit experience combined with at least 5 years of in-house corporate finance management
• Demonstrated P&L monitoring and EBITDA stewardship with an early-warning mindset
• Strong understanding of how commercial, logistics, operations, and marketing drivers impact P&L
• High-impact communication and ability to challenge C-suite leaders with data-driven insights
• Preferred: experience in high-growth tech scale-ups or FMCG/Retail multinationals
